About Nathalie Gerards
Nurse in the past, yoga teacher and breathwork facilitator at the moment, also she loves to teach Dutch.
She's called:
Beloved, mum, nurse, teacher, inspiring, crazy, facilitator, daughter, joy, laughter, flexible, strong, beautiful, warm, proud, humorfull, love and loving.
She loves to travel, and has stayed several months in Romania, India and Crete, where she connected with different cultures. For her, all people are the same, with their own habits and languages of course. When she travels in the family camper van she feels like the gipsy queen, free and connected with nature. To be in nature together whether with her family and friends or alone, is one of her favorite ways to Be.
History
After high school I started work as a nurse in the hospital. I did my exam in 1991 and afterwards I worked in several medical institutes in the Netherlands. During this time I followed a course in meditation, intuitive development and Reiki and felt the energy that surrounded people. For me all illness starts when we loose connection with our natural flow of energy. If we get blocked by things which are happening in our lives and we are not able to feel what there is or if we are suppressing our feelings, it can start to become a dis-ease.
After my move to The Hague in 1996, I worked as a home nurse, until our first son was born. I changed my job and started to work with disabled people in an institute where they could work. It was a great time. In 1999 our second son was born, a second present.
Since 1992 I have done yoga and in 2000 I took a course to become an adult and children's yoga teacher at the Osmose Institute in The Hague. In 2006-2007 I taught 10 yoga classes a week to adults, children and teenagers. We moved for my partners job, to the countryside just outside Geneva in 2007. In 2010, I completed the facilitators course for Inspirational Breath work with Joost Maijvis. Breathing is one of the most powerful tools to heal the connection between your body, mind and heart. For me I found the way "to Be", inspired with the flow of life, teaching yoga and facilitating breathing sessions.
